About Manston Parish Council
Manston Parish includes the village of Manston, situated a mile to the north west of Ramsgate in East Kent, as well as the hamlets of Haine, Lydden, Woodchurch and Shottendane. It is in the centre of the Isle of Thanet. The name is derived from the original Mannestone. The photograph on the left shows the high street early in the last century.
